All was fine then sundenly car just stalled.
Its not lacking power but will not idle under 2000rpm and then its missing.
have removed air filter and breathers no difference. The engine temp is fine although the warmer the worse it is. no loss of fluids and cant hear any air leaks. No excess smoke from sorst. car looses power when every plug is indidaully removed.

I did find that unplugging the ?anti run on wire makes the car stall regfardless of revs and after replaceing it starts and idles fine then dies as soon as I rev it.
anyhelp welcome ta Wink

sounds like the carb is fubered , take it off and take the top off , check the jets are 100% clean inside , and check the gasket for carb top , if it sucks in air itll snuff it,.

does it backfire a bit when you let off the throttle when driving. Mine did this and would not idle. It was an air leak which i just could not spot anywhere!

My mk2 used to do that when i fitted the ashley system...used to get 3-4 foot flames out of it.. Very Happy
Ended up using it to repel tailgaters....blip the pedal, then pull of=flames, and car behind on the anchors Very Happy Very Happy

when i found the leak it was in the middle of the system, courtesy of Ashley and their precision manufacturing Rolling Eyes

No was no back fire.
was missing if under 2000rpm and would die if just lifted off. was a case of a lot of roll starts dumping clutch.
